Harriet Jean Bostonia
Harriet Jean Bostonia, of undying faith in her Lord, went to her heavenly home Friday, December 7, 2012, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was 62 years old and lived in Washington all of her life. She was born March 24, 1950, in Washington, a daughter of the late Guy Bostonia and Margaret Bostonia Lash.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Washington.
She retired in December 2010 from a devoted nursing career of more than 35 years at Washington Hospital, where she brought comfort, strength and love to so many children and patients. She was deeply respected by her colleagues in the Washington Hospital health care community.
She loved animals, especially her dachshunds that she raised, cared for and loved for so many years.
Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Tim (Marguerite) Bostonia of Morgantown, W.Va.; a niece, Sara Bostonia of Morgantown; a nephew, Guy Bostonia of Morgantown; an uncle, Bob Longstreath of Washington; and a cousin, Marie Cage of Washington.
Deceased are stepfather Byron Lash, grandmother Eleanor Smith, aunt Dorothy Longstreath and aunt and uncle Nick and Leona Bostonia, all formerly of Washington.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, the time of service, Wednesday, December 12, with the Rev. L. Stephen Smith Jr. officiating. Entombment will be held in Washington Cemetery Mausoleum.
