Anna L. Monaco Powner, 95, of Bridgeville, formerly of Cecil, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012, in Broadmore Assisted Living at Lakemont Farms.
She was born February 12, 1917, in Cecil, a daughter of the late Panfilo and Flaminia Pronio Monaco.
Mrs. Powner was a member of Italian Sons and Daughters Association.
She enjoyed bowling, reading, playing cards, traveling and spending time with family.
Mrs. Powner worked as a clerk for Hallmark Cards in Bridgeville and South Hills Village.
Surviving are three daughters, Janice (Dave) Harvey of Freedom, Judy (Dave) McDowell of Lawrence and Debbie (Bill) Sweetie of Cecil; two grandchildren, Erik (Sherry) McDowell of Carnegie and Heather McDowell of Bridgeville; three great-grandchildren, Brandon and Maleya McDowell and Emma P. Dreher; and a stepson, Paul (Carol) Love of Cecil.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Powner; a daughter, Paulette Powner; four brothers, Anthony, Joseph, Dominick and Elidio Monaco; and three sisters, Lillian Ventresca, Jennie Monaco and Lola Ventresca.
Friends will be received 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road (Route 50) Cecil, where a circle of life service will be held at 8 p.m. Private interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cecil.
