Robert Enrico Davis Sr.
Robert Enrico Davis Sr., 74, of Cecil Township, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012, in Philadelphia.
He was born October 15, 1938, in Venice, a son of the late Ernest and Anna Quersima Davis.
He was a 1956 graduate of Cecil High School.
On March 10, 1962, he married Carole Rozanc Davis, whom he celebrated 50 years with this year.
He was a loving husband and devoted family man. He enjoyed bowling, watching baseball, cooking, dancing and listening to Polka music.
He loved working with his sons and hanging out with good friends. He was said to be “the most patient man ever.”
He was a self-employed contractor, specializing in woodwork.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are six sons, Robert E. Davis Jr. of St. Augustine, Fla., Alan (Jemin) Davis of New Castle, Larry W. (Emily Joy) Davis of Arlington, Va., and Daniel Davis, David (Jennifer) Davis and Wayne Davis, all of Cecil; daughter Tiffaney Davis of Cecil; brother Ernest (Helen) Davis of Georgia; brother-in-law Robert (Jean) Rozanc of Canonsburg; mother-in-law Martha Rozanc of Chartiers Township; 19 grandchildren, Taylor, Cheyenne, Katie, Alan, Matthew, Alexandria, Garrett, Megan, Danielle, Allison, Madison, Jasmine, Devin, Carielle, Caileigh, Connor, Ceighara, Leighanna and Lairah; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Louis Davis; father-in-law Joseph Rozanc Jr.; and brother-in-law Marian Rozanc.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road (Route 50), Cecil, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, with Pastor C.D. Croscutt officiating.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
