Thomas William Sivek, 64, of Finleyville, died Thursday, December 13, 2012, in Donnell House, Washington.

He was born October 17, 1948, in Monessen, a son of the late William and Ann Latta Sivek.

Mr. Sivek retired after 40 years of employment from U.S. Steel, Irvin Works.

At the time of his death, he was employed as a security guard for U.S. Securities in Canonsburg.

While his daughters were in school, he coached girls basketball for Ringgold Youth League and Finleyville Middle School and girls softball for TWIST in Washington.

Mr. Sivek attended St. Damien of Molokai Parish, Transfiguration Church, Monongahela.

He loved spending time with his family. He had a passion for working in his yard, exercising and swimming.

He is survived by his wife, Paulette Geary Sivek, with whom he celebrated 30 years of marriage June 12, 2012; three daughters, Precious Sivek at home, Brianna and husband Wes Mankey of Amity and Chianti Sivek at home; grandson Colton Mankey; and two sisters, Carole Malarbi of Monongahela and Alice and husband Anthony Iorio of Orlando, Fla.

In addition to his parents, deceased is his sister, Nancy Amati.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela. A blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, December 17, in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Damien of Molokai Parish, Transfiguration Church, with the Rev. William Terza, pastor, as celebrant. Committal services and interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela.
