Glen R. Coulter

Glen R. Coulter, 88, of Monongahela, Fallowfield Township, died Saturday, December 22, 2012, in Hallsworth House, Monessen.

He was born April 4, 1924, in Charleroi, a son of the late Hugh G. and Mary M. Dickey Coulter.

Mr. Coulter retired in 1986 from the carpenters local Union 84.

After graduating from Charleroi High School in 1943, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, having served in the 11th Airborne Division during World War II.

He enjoyed working on his farm and was a member of (Journey By Grace) Free Methodist Church formerly in Monongahela.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Rickey G. and Debbie Coulter of Hagerstown, Md., and Scott A. and Melanie Coulter of Boonsboro, Md.; a brother, James A. and wife Hazel Coulter of Fallowfield Township; and three grandchildren, Douglas Coulter and Ryan (Heather) Coulter and Jennifer (Sean) Frazier.

Preceding him in death are his wife, Jean M. Delp Coulter, who died October 18, 2005, and a sister, Dora May Coulter.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com. Interment will be held at a later date in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
