John G. “Jack” Staley, 95, of Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away November 28, 2012, in his home.

He was born September 23, 1917, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Constant and Hilda Staley.

On June 1, 1939, he married his beloved wife, Anita Opfermann, who preceded him in death November 22, 2010. They had celebrated 71 years of marriage.

Surviving are a son, Wayne (Wendy) Staley; two daughters, Marita and Glenda Staley; a daughter-in-law, Toni Staley; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a son, John “Jack” Staley; a daughter, Gayle Root; brothers, Glenn and Rich Staley; and a sister, Connie Garan.

At the request of Mr. Staley, there will be no public visitation. Burial will be private and held in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
