Delores Mikalik
Delores B. Mikalik, 87, of Carmichaels, died unexpectedly at 2:50 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2012, in the emergency room at Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg.
She was born November 13, 1925, in Detroit, Mich., a daughter of the late Frank S. and Frances V. Schultz Stencel.
Mrs. Mikalik resided in Carmichaels, most of her life, and was a member of Fayette County Old Time Fiddler’s Association of Pennsylvania.
She enjoyed collecting pennies and bird feeding. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
On July 21, 1951, she married John Mikalik, who died July 7, 2012.
Surviving are a daughter, Beatrice Ann Livengood of Crucible; two sons, Michael J. Mikalik and Melvin Mikalik, both of Carmichaels; five grandchildren, Bryce Mikalik, Brandon Mikalik, Rebecca Hughes, Roxanne Hammar and Crystal Mikalik; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann Reavely of Macomb, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Carl Stencel and a brother, who was killed in action during World War II; and three sisters, Rita Barnes, Shirley Stencel and Bridget Burk.
Family and friends are welcome from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Yoskovich Funeral Home, 724-966-5500, Martin J. Yoskovich, director, 300 South Vine Street, Route 88, Carmichaels, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 28, with the Rev. Bruce R. Judy officiating.
