Harold W. Bedillion

Harold W. “Do-Dad” Bedillion, 62, of East Finley Township, Washington County, died unexpectedly at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 25, 2012, in his home.

He was born September 15, 1950, in Washington, a son of the late Harry Lee and Opal May Ealy Bedillion and had resided in East Finley Township most of his life.

Mr. Bedillion was a member of Fairmount United Methodist Church in East Finley and was a 1969 graduate of McGuffey High School.

He was employed as a machinist at the former Washington Mold plant for 31 years, prior to retiring in 2002, and enjoyed farming, raising beef cattle and Belgium horses and selling his chicken eggs.

Mr. Bedillion was a member of the National Rifle Association, the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers, District Lodge 83, Local 52 and Sunset Lodge 623 F&AM of Washington.

He was also a member of United Kennel Club and the former East Finley Coon Hunters Club.

On September 20, 1969, he married Georgia Charlene Scott, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Harold Wayne and Harry Lee Bedillion, both at home, and Christopher Spencer Bedillion of Washington; three grandchildren, Christopher Nicholas, Brady Spencer and Patrick James Bedillion; five brothers, H. Laverne, Allan and Larry, husband of Sharon Bedillion, all of East Finley Township, Dennis, husband of Norma Bedillion of Claysville and Roger, husband of Rhonda Bedillion of Weirton, W.Va.; a sister, B. Karen, wife of Ken Hardage of Neosho, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a niece, Jennifer Hardage.

Friends will be received from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday in Fairmount United Methodist Church, East Finley Township, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 29, with Pastor James H. Jarvis officiating. Interment will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or Fairmount United Methodist Church.
