Regina Lombardo
Regina “Jean” Lombardo, 81, of Canonsburg, passed away Monday, December 24, 2012, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born March 2, 1931, in Duryea, a daughter of the late Leo and Catherine Mularkey McGowan.
Mrs. Lombardo lived most of her life in Philadelphia, where she retired from Tele Dynamics. In 1996, she moved to Canonsburg.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Muse and was a member of Knits for Genesis, a pro-life organization in Washington, for whom she enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Mrs. Lombardo especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
On April 2, 1960, she married her beloved husband, Michael Lombardo, who passed away in 1993.
Surviving are son Father Gerard Lombardo of New Jersey; two daughters, Michele (Joseph) Brado of Bethel Park and Maureen Lombardo of Phoenix, Ariz.; and four grandchildren, Joseph, Adam and Erica Brado and Talia Lombardo.
Deceased is her brother, John McGowan.
Friends are welcome from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Salandra Funeral Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, December 28, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Muse, with Father George DeVille and Father Gerard Lombardo co-officiating.
