William Hajdu

William “Byrd” Hajdu, 58, of West Brownsville, died Thursday, December 27, 2012.

He was born Tuesday, January 5, 1954, in Daisytown, a son of Alex and Wilma Kostoff Hajdu.

Mr. Hajdu was a member of Daisytown Hungarian Club.

In addition to his parents, left to cherish his memory are his wife of 25 years, Lori Cusick Hajdu; daughters Rachel Weiss and husband Steven of Charlottesville, Va., and Chelsea Hajdu of West Brownsville; siblings Rick Hajdu and wife Cindy, Linda and Bill “Knooks and Chud” Carins, Lisa Fowler, Frank and Phyllis Simyak, Darcy and Debbie Simyak, Sally and Tony Vadella and Bill and Trisha Cusick; and nephews Shane Hajdu and Eric Rucci.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Mariscotti Funeral Home Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, and until 11 a.m. Thursday, January 3, when services will be held in the funeral home with the Rev. Candace Cook officiating. Entombment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
