Anna Ducar Mucci

Anna Ducar Mucci, 85, of Bentleyville, died Saturday evening, December 29, 2012, in Center for Compassionate Care, Pittsburgh.

She was born November 11, 1927, in Allison, Fayette County, a daughter of the late John and Julia Hutnik Ducar.

Mrs. Mucci was a graduate of Brownsville High School.

She was a member of Ave Maria Parish in Bentleyville and Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court 1141 in Brownsville.

On September 27, 1947, in St. Nicholas Church, Brownsville, she married John A. Mucci, who died February 16, 2002.

Mrs. Mucci was very active in life with her two daughters, Andrea Mucci of Annapolis, Md., and Marsha Mucci of Bentleyville.

Also surviving are two sisters, Margaret Wolosky of Washington and Mildred Verbanic of Punta Gorda, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are brothers Stephen Ducar and John Ducar Jr. and sisters Mary Ducar, Julia Volek, Helen Curcio and Theresa Ducar.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 3, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Ave Maria Church, Bentleyville, with the Rev. Edward L. Yuhas, as celebrant. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill. Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court 1141, Brownsville, will pray the rosary at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
