Mary Polacek Maranich, 88, of Vineland, N.J., passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012, in SJH Regional Medical Center, Vineland, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Maranich was born in Hastings and had resided in Myersdale and Berlin and finally in Vineland, to be near her daughters.
She was a daughter of the late Catherine Brandis and Joseph Polacek, and the wife of the late Michael Maranich, who died in 2007.
Mrs. Maranich was a homemaker and a full-time mother and grandmother.
She enjoyed taking care of her family.
Surviving are two daughters, Marsha and husband Ed Fransko of Vineland and Janice Hammerling of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; two brothers, Joseph (Shirley) of Pennsylvania and Andrew (Fran) of Florida; two sisters, Elizabeth Green of Pennsylvania and Theresa Thieret of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 3, by her grandson, the Rev. Michael E. Fransko, in the chapel of Monongahela Cemetery. To email condolences or tributes, please visit www.pancoastfuneralhome.com.
