Paul James Eberle, 83, of Hickory, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012, in Humbert Lane Health Care Centre, South Strabane Township.He was born July 3, 1929, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Rev. Forest S. Eberle, former pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Canonsburg, and Bertha Haas Eberle.Mr. Eberle served in the U.S. Air Force and was a truck driver and owner of Eberle Nursery and Christmas Tree Farm. He also served on the board of directors of Hickory Telephone Co.He was an active member of First Lutheran Church, Washington.On August 3, 1951, he married Arlene Bennett, who died July 27, 2001.Surviving are a son, Brad (Cheryl) Eberle of South Fayette Township; a daughter, Lynn (Martin) Yancosky of Penn Hills; three grandchildren, Sarah (Ilan) Kerman, Anne (Wes) Miller and Ryan Eberle; and a great-grandchild, Dara Kerman.Deceased are a brother, Walter Eberle; and two sisters, Helen Kelso and Dorothy Young.Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 3, in First Lutheran Church, 92 West Walnut Street, Washington, with the Rev.
