Patricia J. Beaumariage Rhodes of Plum Borough and Coconut Creek, Fla., died Saturday, November 3, 2012, after a lengthy illness.

She was born September 8, 1930, in Washington, a daughter of the late Jules and Roberta Bell Beaumariage.

Mrs. Rhodes was raised in Hickory and was a 1948 graduate of Hickory High School. She then completed a one-year commercial course at Robert Morris University in 1949.

For 34 years, she was employed by Gulf Oil Corp., where she retired in 1986 as a supervisor of communications.

Mrs. Rhodes enjoyed crafts and was an accomplished singer. She sang tenor in the Sweet Adelines for 27 years and once performed with her chorus in Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

On December 22, 1956, in Venice Presbyterian Church, she married Dr. Donald Rhodes, who survives.

Mrs. Rhodes and her husband spent time at their second home in Coconut Creek. They always attended Sunday services at the Methodist Church in Pompano Beach, Fla. They loved spending time each year at their Florida home. Her family thought she was a great cook.

Also surviving are sisters Mrs. Phyllis Lindley of Washington and Mrs. Nancy Pryor of Eighty Four; sister-in-law Mrs. Diane Tush of Eighty Four; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are brothers Richard Beaumariage and Gerald Beaumariage.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Soxman Funeral Home, Roth Chapel, 7450 Saltsburg Road, Penn Hills, 412-793-3000. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 8, in Unity United Presbyterian Church, 215 Unity Trestle Road, Plum Borough, where she and her husband were faithful members for many years. Interment will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory, next to Hickory United Presbyterian Church, where she always attended church with her parents, sisters and brothers.
