Carolyn Mucey
Carolyn Mucey, 96, of Washington, died at 10:15 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012, in Easton, Md., with her family by her side.
She was born March 1, 1916, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Dominic and Rosina diPaolo Castracane.
Mrs. Mucey was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She also was a member of Washington Hospital Auxiliary, Washington Women’s Club, W&J Auxiliary Neighborhood House Auxiliary, Martha Washington Garden Club, Current Events and Symphony South.
She enjoyed playing golf and bridge. Her special memories were the many times she enjoyed with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.
On July 15, 1937, she married George Joseph Mucey, who died in 1979.
Surviving are daughters Georgia (William) Ritter of North Carolina and Leslye (Frank) Mosier of Maryland; brother Nick Castracane of Virginia; sister Josephine Hall of Pennsylvania; grandchildren Frank and Michael Mosier and William and John Ritter; and great-grandchildren Ashton, Ross, Siena and Sophia Ritter and Fred, Maria and Charles Mosier.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are two sisters, Edna McArdle and Anita Tridico.
Friends will be received from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, where a prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, November 10, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington.
