Thomas Acor

Thomas Acor, 76, of Heidelberg, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012, in Country Meadows, Bridgeville.

He was born April 25, 1936. When he was eight years old, he came to Anna Miller’s home and stayed until he joined the Marines in 1954. She was his only mom.

Mr. Acor married Jean Stasko, who died May 14, 2010.

Surviving are brothers Donald Jones (Patricia) and Richard Kuhlman; nieces Kim Clark (Patrick) and Lori Melone; nephew Donald Jones (Beth); and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

The Stasko and Durket families were very much involved in his life, Steve Allen, Janet and Dave and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Acor was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and retired from Cellone’s Bakery. He enjoyed traveling and camping with his friends and was loved by many.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in Bagnato Funeral Home, Jefferson Street, Carnegie. Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November 10, in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Carnegie. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to American Diabetes Association.
