Joseph Anthony Oliverio

Joseph Anthony “Joey O” Oliverio, 63, of Mims, Fla., formerly of Washington, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012, in his home, following a three-year illness.

He was born July 22, 1949, in Washington, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Ruth Mounts Oliverio.

A graduate of Trinity High School, he also completed a year at a welding trade school.

He had worked as a welder, and then later for the city of Mims as a maintenance worker.

A Christian, he also was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast, having traveled across the United States on his motorcycle.

His wife, Judy Pauline Baumgardner, died in 2009.

Surviving are a brother, Richard “Rick” Oliverio of Washington; a sister, Ruth Ann (George) Morrell of Scenery Hill; four nephews, Nathan Oliverio and George, Jeffery and Matthew Morrell; seven great-nephews and great-nieces, George, Dylan, Kenzie, Makalia, Mackenna, Bella and Addison; an ex-sister-in-law, Pamela; and an uncle, Sam Oliverio.

Deceased, in addition to his parents and wife, is a brother, Terry V. Oliverio.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. The time of services will be announced at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 331 South Main Street, Washington, PA 15301.
