Clement C. Middleton

Clement C. Middleton, 96, of Gastonville, died Tuesday, November 13, 2012, in Mt. Vernon of South Park Assisted Living Center.

He was born October 2, 1916, in Burr, Mo., a son of the late Charles P. and Jesse Belle Hawk Middleton.

Mr. Middleton was retired as a computer programmer with the former Levinson Steel Corp. in Pittsburgh.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 613 in Finleyville.

Mr. Middleton was a member of the former Union Roads United Methodist Church in Gastonville.

Surviving are a son, Jeffrey Middleton and wife Charlene of Finleyville; two daughters, Kathleen Spencer and husband David of Finleyville and Betsy Lynn Maynard and husband Mark of Houston; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are his wife, Lois Campbell Middleton, who died in 2008, and two sons, Jerry and Christopher Middleton.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 16. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. Full military rites will be accorded by Mon Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad. American Legion Post 613 will conduct services at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 613, 3533 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, PA 15332; or Disabled American Veterans Memorial Program, P.O. 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
