Georgia M. Sosnak Brock
Georgia Marie Sosnak Brock, 66, of Denton, Md., passed away September 4, 2012, after battling cancer.
She was born November 11, 1945, in Richeyville, in the home of her parents, George and Helen Krilosky Sosnak.
Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Milford John Brock; two daughters, Holly (Dan) VanSchaik of Texas and Wendy Clayton of Maryland; four grandchildren, Juliana Brock, Adam Stevens and Daniel and Jesse VanSchaik; a great-granddaughter, Autumn Henckel; two sisters, Chris (Mike) Pyrtko of Ohio and Becky Ghrist of Richeyville; a brother, George (Sheila) Sosnak of Daisytown; three sisters-in-law, Joyce (Alton) Bowen, Nina Bagdasarian and Phyllis Brookshier, all of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a sister, Helene Zalek, formerly of Ohio; a niece, Nicole McCrory, formerly of Daisytown; a nephew; two brothers-in-law; and her mother-in-law, formerly of Virginia.
Mrs. Brock’s career in federal government service spanned 40 years, including USAF Headquarters and U.S. Naval Research Lab (Pentagon) and USDA-NRCS (Maryland and Delaware).
She participated in various professional organizations and volunteered as an adult reading mentor.
Services were held September 8 in Denton. A memorial Mass will be held at 8:15 a.m. Monday, November 19, in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Richeyville. Condolences can be expressed at www.moorefuneralhomepa.com.
