Grace Louise Camps
Grace Louise Camps, 86, of Washington, died Thursday, November 15, 2012, in Donnell House, Washington. She had been in declining health.
She was born November 7, 1926, in Washington, a daughter of Wilbur and Annie Stewart Kelley.
Mrs. Camps was a member of Church of Christ, Washington, where she taught Sunday school, Tuesday school and Sunshiners Seniors Group.
She graduated from Chartiers-Houston High School with the Class of 1944 and worked for 10 years as a dietary aide for Washington Hospital.
Mrs. Camps enjoyed flower gardening, reading and word puzzles.
On November 14, 1947, she married Phillip Camps. Mr. Camps died October 14, 1972.
Surviving are two sons, David (Lisa) and Edward Camps, both of Washington; a daughter, Mary Ann (Robert) Brandenburg of Avella; four grandchildren, Brian (Amy) Camps, Kim (Joe) Marra, Jamie (Colby) Seigfried and Shawna Camps; five great-grandchildren, Emma, Skylar, Mia and Riley Camps and Devin Marra; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Robert and Thomas Kelley, and a sister, Mary Warne.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Hummell & Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, Thomas W. Hummell, supervisor, Douglas M. Jones, funeral director. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Monday, November 19, in Church of Christ, 700 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Robert Davison officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the church. At the request of the deceased, only live plants will be accepted at the funeral home and church.
