Hilda E. Barkand Crum

Hilda E. Barkand Crum, 95, of Upper St. Clair, died Sunday, November 18, 2012.

She was born September 12, 1917, in Federal, a daughter of the late Otto and Emma Kramer Barkand.

On April 18, 1942, she married the late John F. Crum.

Mrs. Crum was a retired employee of Upper St. Clair School District, where she worked for 27 years as a baker.

She loved the outdoors, tending to her garden, baking, crocheting and watching Steelers football games.

Surviving are four sons, Jerry (Kathy) Crum, Ron (Rose) Crum, Tony (Patty) Crum and Jeff (Debbie) Crum; two sisters, Mildred Barkand and Emily Stoltenberg; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are four brothers, Otto, Carl, William and Earl Barkand, and two sisters, Margaret Barkand and Emma Glynn.

Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, 412-221-3333, where services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, November 21.
