Robert G. Fobes Sr., 80, of Sewickley, died Wednesday morning, November 21, 2012, in Good Samaritan Hospice House, Wexford.

He was born February 10, 1932, in Neville Island, a son of the late William and Mary Ellen Hunter Fobes.

Mr. Fobes worked as a dispatcher with Jones & Laughlin Steel.

In addition to his parents, deceased are stepson Tim Smith; brother Paul Fobes; and his first wife, Phyllis Hicks Fobes.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Audrie Burris Smith Fobes; four children, Nadine Fobes of Monaca, Norine (Bob) Fobes of Arizona, Robert Fobes Jr. of Imperial and Lorraine McDonald of Neville Island; six stepchildren, Thomas (Vicki) Smith of Ohio, Randy (Doreen) Smith of Rochester, Larry (Lori) Smith of Hookstown, Lori (Tim) Chaffin of Florida, Robert (friend Tina) Smith of Clinton and Cindy (Robert) Sipes of Franklin Park; sister, Vivian Walker of Baden; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are welcome to call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in McConnell Funeral Home, 447 Pine Street, Hookstown, Daniel M. McConnell, owner/director, where a service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 24, with the Rev. Gary Gibson of North Buffalo Township Church officiating.

Interment will be in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.
