Cecil C. Barron
Cecil C. Barron, 77, of Houston, died Thursday, November 22, 2012, in Canonsburg General Hospital.
He was born August 13, 1935, in Somerset, a son of the late John Sr. and Maude Bruner Barron.
Mr. Barron was a 1953 graduate of Somerset High School.
Upon graduation, he worked as a machinist at Gilmore Manufacturing in Somerset.
He co-founded and became president of DeRose Research Inc. in 1960, a sheet metal fabricating company.
Mr. Barron enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed deer hunting at the hunting camp, watching old Western programs on TV and listening to big band music. He was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan.
On November 24, 1957, he married Janet L. Hittie, who survives.
Also surviving are four children, Jeffrey Barron (Lorra) of Canonsburg, Carolyn Chuba (Richard) of McDonald, Clark Jay Barron (Michelle) of Hickory and James Barron (Jeannie) of Wellsburg, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren, Nicholas, Danielle, Zackary, Carter and Sophia Barron, Emily and Adam McPeake, Ryan Chuba, Michael Baronio and Chris Hines (Scott); three great-grandchildren, Cage and Cassie Hines and Angelina Zamperini; six sisters, Romaine Morrison of Lexington, Va., Anita Burton of Jacobus, Gail Vavrek of Deming, N.M., Arlene Tomanio of Verona, Sandi Crawford (Gary) of Rockwood and Emily Harper of Somerset; four brothers, Dale Barron (Ann) of Montgomery Village, Md., Barrie Barron (Karen) and Howard Barron of Somerset and John Barron (Michelle) of Johnstown; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a sister, Rachel Barron; and a brother, Ellis “Joe” Barron.
