Jacqueline Liptak
Jacqueline “Jackie” Liptak, 80, of Canonsburg, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012, in her home, with her family by her side.
She was born January 10, 1932, in Houston, a daughter of the late John R. and Mae Bodish Hilderbrand.
Mrs. Liptak lived her entire life in the Houston and Canonsburg areas and was Protestant.
She had been employed as an aide at Horizon Senior Care in Canonsburg and at Chartiers Taxi Co.
Mrs. Liptak was an avid bowler and member of Bright Gems Bowling League of Canonsburg and enjoyed crafting, bingo and Thursday night Tons of Fun.
On June 28, 1952, she married Edward T. Liptak, who died June 27, 1991.
Surviving are two sons, George E. (Barb) Liptak of Muse and Edward T. (Aurelia) Liptak of Canonsburg; two daughters, Debra A. (Billy) Parker of Houston and Judith E. Levy of Canonsburg; three brothers, Kenneth J. Hilderbrand of Washington, Robert A. Hilderbrand of Hayfork, Calif., and David H. Hilderbrand of Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters, Della M. Schumacker and Doris Small, both of Canonsburg; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her husband, are two brothers, Conrad and John R. Hilderbrand and six sisters, Kathleen Hilderbrand, Betty Jane Duggan, Gladys Weigan, Ruth E. Spiller, Dorothy E Bomblatus and Audrey J. Anderson.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in Salandra Funeral Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 26. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
