Joseph D. Rotella
Joseph D. Rotella, 69, of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Canonsburg, died Thursday, November 22, 2012, in UPMC-Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born November 8, 1943, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Joseph J. “Pepsi” and Veronica Russo Rotella.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by South Hills Chrysler Plymouth and owned and operated Rotella’s Beauty Salon.
He was a member of St. Bernard’s Church.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Sandra Dolanch Rotella of Mt. Lebanon; two sons, Michael Joseph Rotella and wife Lisa of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., and Jarrod Joseph Rosella and wife Patricia of Philadelphia; a daughter, Audra Michelle Rotella Colbert and spouse Ralph Colbert of Dormont; a brother, Kenneth K. Rotella and wife Marlene of Huntington Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Darlene Dami of Canonsburg and Kathy Elenitsas and husband Harry of Washington; eight grandchildren; and several nephews and cousins.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a brother, Richard Rotella.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, where departing prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg.
