James F. “Jim” Vogel Sr., 69, of Washington, formerly of West Finley, died peacefully Thursday, November 22, 2012, in his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born December 13, 1942, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Frederick and Kathryn James Vogel.
Mr. Vogel enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
He served in the United States Marine Corps.
Surviving are a son, James F. (Elena) Vogel Jr. of Elizabeth; a daughter, Tammie (Rick) Rizor of Prosperity; four grandchildren, Rick Rizor, Joshua Vogel, Deserae Rizor and Caedon Vogel; three great-grandchildren, Dominik Rizor, RaeLynn Rizor and Kathryn Rizor; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Vogel will be sadly missed by his longtime companion, Kathy Armstrong of Washington.
Deceased is a brother, David E. Vogel.
At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation. Burial will be private.
