Martha Jane Kovalik, 75, of McDonald, died Saturday, November 24, 2012, in Hamot Medical Center, Erie.
She was born December 10, 1936, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late William and Margaret Lillian Gladstone Rodgers.
Mrs. Kovalik was a retired licensed practical nurse.
She was a member and former greeter of Crossroads United Methodist Church Oakdale.
Her first husband, James Wilson Holmes, died April 7, 1977. On September 15, 1997, she married Lawrence J. Kovalik, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Martha Ann (Michael) Duell of Johnstown, Mary J. Yerkey of Langeloth and Darla J. Cook of Washington; two sons, James R. (Sally) Holmes of Valencia and William E. Holmes of Erie; a brother, David Rodgers of Connecticut; eight grandchildren, James, Shirley, Heather, Bobbi Jo, Ryan, Cory, Troy and Abbagail; and three great-grandchildren, Alexis, Connor and Cara.
Deceased are two sisters, Marjorie Rice and Joyce Glendenning.
She leaves behind her dog, Jingles.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 East Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 28.
