Helen Stanton
Helen Stanton, 91, passed into eternity Wednesday, November 21, 2012.
She was a daughter of Anthony and Ermalinda Maiello.
Deceased are her husband, Harry N. Stanton, and sisters Jean Gunsser and Margaret Rampa.
Surviving are sister Josephine Urso of Washington; daughters Cheryl Pelletier of Bangor, Maine, and Deborah and Jose Gracia of Knoxville, Tenn.; grandchildren Nicole Pelletier of Los Angeles, Calif., Eric Pelletier of New York City and Ali and Zoe Gracia of Knoxville; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stanton was thoroughly devoted to her family and was an avid reader, pet enthusiast and researcher. She was known for her preparation of beautiful and nutritious meals. She loved music and travel and had a deep personal spirituality. She also had a tremendous concern for people in need, donating to various organizations.
The staff of Soddy Daisy Healthcare Center, Alexian Brothers Healthcare Center, Hospice of Chattanooga and her nurse, Lyn, all showed warm professionalism and a special commitment to Mrs. Stanton’s well-being.
A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, in Chattanooga National Cemetery, Tenn. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, Signal Mountain, Tenn. The Rev. Margaret F. Ferguson will officiate all services.
