Robert Lewis Adams Jr., 52, of Pittsburgh, died Friday, November 23, 2012.

He was the beloved son of Evelyn Mae Ramey and the late Robert L.; dear brother of Charles E., Curtis A.L. (Emellie), Terri Adams-Smith and Shari Woodson (Myron); half brother of Justin D.; and treasured grandson of Clara Vaden. He also leaves a host of other relatives and friends who will truly miss him.

Thomas “Sonny” Adams, 84, of Cecil, died Sunday, November 25, 2012, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.

He was a son of the late Steve and Bertha Mouret Adams.

Mr. Adams was the beloved husband of the late Anna Broyles Adams, who died March 22, 2012.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Cecil.

Mr. Adams was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He enjoyed bowling and gardening.

Mr. Adams retired from W.T. Kratovil Inc. as a carpenter supervisor.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas M. (Deborah) Adams Sr. of Washington and Stephen (Jean) Adams of Bethel Park; five grandchildren, Thomas M. (Gail) Adams Jr. of Washington, Bethany Lynn (Justin) Adder of Mt. Lebanon, Patrick C. Adams of Washington and Brennen Adams and Blaine Adams, both of Bethel Park; four great-grandchildren, Caleb, Micah and Chloe Adams and Julianne Claire Adder; two sisters, Janet Slimick of Scott Township and Joyce Patnesky of Carnegie; and a brother, Ronald Adams of Canonsburg.

Deceased are two sisters and two brothers.

Virginia E. Clelland, 88, of Waynesburg, died peacefully Sunday, November 25, 2012, in her home.

She was born September 6, 1924, in Spraggs, a daughter of the late John Lee and Bertha Pearl Wood Martin.

Mrs. Clelland was a graduate of Waynesburg High School.

She worked for 34 years at Greenway Manufacturing in Waynesburg. She also worked at the Tourist Information Center, Bowlby Public Library and Community Action Southwest, all in Waynesburg.

Mrs. Clelland enjoyed helping others, volunteering her time at area nursing homes and the St. Ann Soup Kitchen.

Surviving are daughter Penny S. Ketchem (John) of Waynesburg; granddaughter Kiperly Whitlatch; grandson Aaron Ketchem; four great-grandsons, James, David and Justin Whitlatch and Seth Ketchem, all of Waynesburg; and brother James O. Martin of Waynesburg.

Deceased are two brothers, Glen Edward Martin and Leonard B. Martin; and sister Vivian Milliken.

James Clayton Connor, 73, of Charleroi, formerly of Eighty Four, died Sunday, November 25, 2012, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born September 12, 1939, in Whiteley Township, Greene County, a son of the late Clarence and Fannebelle Lemunyion Connor.

Before retiring, he worked as a security guard for the George Washington hotel in Washington.

He was a member of Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church in Eighty Four, where he was the church custodian for 16 years.

Mr. Connor enjoyed word search puzzles, watching the Pirates and Steelers and sitting on the porch.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Barr Connor, whom he married February 11, 1972, in Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church; sister Sue Cunningham of Manassas, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are his siblings, Ruth Beddow, Martha Palmer, Mary Burdette and Clarence (Bill), Robert, Paul and Joseph Connor.

Rosella Finney, 94, of Houston, died Sunday, November 25, 2012, in her home.

She was born October 5, 1918, in Houston, a daughter of the late Pete and Elizabeth Powell Politan.

Mrs. Finney was a member of St. Patrick Church.

She was a supervisor at the Opportunity Center in Washington, where she helped found the ARC of Washington County Industrial Workshop. She was a strong advocate for individuals with disabilities and devoted her life to helping satisfy their needs.

Mrs. Finney enjoyed flowers, gardening, cross-stitching and crocheting. She was an artist and loved ceramics and painting.

Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Antonette Finney of Houston; three grandchildren, Kevin Finney and wife Tia of Knoxville, Tenn., Dwayne Finney and wife Audrey of North Strabane and Shari Orisko and husband Brad of Prosperity; six great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Kirsten, Taylor, Courtney, Lexey and Anthony; stepgreat-grandson Eddie; three sisters, Marie Polly of Houston, Lucille Tomsic of Canonsburg and Caroline D’Orazio and husband Dominick of Canonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are her husband, Roy E. Finney Sr.; two sons, Roy E. Finney Jr. and Robert W. Finney; three brothers, Dominick, Pete and Joseph Politan; and two sisters, Thelma Hundagen and Mildred Martiscuis.

Mildred Fuller, 87, of Joffre, died Sunday, November 25, 2012, in West Hill Health and Rehab Center, Moon Township.

She was born May 7, 1925, in Raccoon, a daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie Krovak.

Prior to retirement, Mrs. Fuller was employed by Gimbels Department Store.

She was a member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church in Bulger.

Mrs. Fuller was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles and sewing.

Surviving are sister Adelene Zimecki of McDonald and a niece and several cousins.

Deceased are her husband, Frank Fuller, who died April 10, 1994, and brother Richard Krovak.

Ruth Jane Leidecker, 88, of Marshall Township, died unexpectedly as the result of an automobile accident Wednesday, November 21, 2012.

W. Joan Mason, 79, of Cameron, W.Va., formerly of Waynesburg, died unexpectedly at 11 a.m. Monday, November 26, 2012, in her home, after being in failing health for two years.

Donald E. Morgan, 76, of Lawrence, died Friday, November 23, 2012, in Townview Health and Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg.

He was born April 9, 1936, in Lawrence, a son of Michael and Ethel Fereday Morgan.

Mr. Morgan served his country in the U.S. Navy.

Prior to his retirement, he worked as a coal miner.

He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing and was an avid Pirates fan.

On September 11, 1993, he married Marian Lipski of Lawrence, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Michael Morgan and wife Susan of Upper St. Clair and Matthew Morgan and wife Joley of Eighty Four; stepson David Holliday and wife Debbie of Washington; two daughters, Jennifer Lynn Morgan and partner Kristy of Denver, Colo., and Kelly Morgan and partner Laura Lynn of Mt. Lebanon; stepdaughter Tracy Gamble of Canonsburg; two sisters, Jane Stutts of Chicago, Ill., and Pat Chambers and husband Ray of Eighty Four; two grandchildren, Matthew and Kennedy Morgan; four stepgrandchildren, Erica and Damen Gamble and Justin and Erica Holliday; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, deceased are three brothers, Michael, Jack and Chuck Morgan; and two sisters, Evelyn Morgan and Ethel Plute.

Joan Grahe Rhodes, 76, of McMurray, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012, in Arden Court Memory Care Facility.

She was the beloved wife of the late William L. Rhodes; loving mother of Linda (Robert) Urban, Sharon Rhodes and W. Scott (Jamie) Rhodes; and grandmother of Todd Urban, Derek (Courtney) Urban, Brandon Urban, Evan Urban and Jay Kimes.

Mrs. Rhodes worked as a secretary for Allegheny Engineering until she retired at age 62.

Helen Stanton, 91, passed into eternity Wednesday, November 21, 2012.

She was a daughter of Anthony and Ermalinda Maiello.

Deceased are her husband, Harry N. Stanton, and sisters Jean Gunsser and Margaret Rampa.

Surviving are sister Josephine Urso of Washington; daughters Cheryl Pelletier of Bangor, Maine, and Deborah and Jose Gracia of Knoxville, Tenn.; grandchildren Nicole Pelletier of Los Angeles, Calif., Eric Pelletier of New York City and Ali and Zoe Gracia of Knoxville; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Stanton was thoroughly devoted to her family and was an avid reader, pet enthusiast and researcher. She was known for her preparation of beautiful and nutritious meals. She loved music and travel and had a deep personal spirituality. She also had a tremendous concern for people in need, donating to various organizations.

The staff of Soddy Daisy Healthcare Center, Alexian Brothers Healthcare Center, Hospice of Chattanooga and her nurse, Lyn, all showed warm professionalism and a special commitment to Mrs. Stanton’s well-being.

A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, in Chattanooga National Cemetery, Tenn. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, Signal Mountain, Tenn. The Rev. Margaret F. Ferguson will officiate all services.
