Virginia E. Clelland
Virginia E. Clelland, 88, of Waynesburg, died peacefully Sunday, November 25, 2012, in her home.
She was born September 6, 1924, in Spraggs, a daughter of the late John Lee and Bertha Pearl Wood Martin.
Mrs. Clelland was a graduate of Waynesburg High School.
She worked for 34 years at Greenway Manufacturing in Waynesburg. She also worked at the Tourist Information Center, Bowlby Public Library and Community Action Southwest, all in Waynesburg.
Mrs. Clelland enjoyed helping others, volunteering her time at area nursing homes and the St. Ann Soup Kitchen.
Surviving are daughter Penny S. Ketchem (John) of Waynesburg; granddaughter Kiperly Whitlatch; grandson Aaron Ketchem; four great-grandsons, James, David and Justin Whitlatch and Seth Ketchem, all of Waynesburg; and brother James O. Martin of Waynesburg.
Deceased are two brothers, Glen Edward Martin and Leonard B. Martin; and sister Vivian Milliken.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Behm Funeral Home, 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 29, with the Rev. David Stains and the Rev. Scott Blair officiating, followed by burial in Oakmont Cemetery.
