John Charles Jolley

John Charles Jolley, 92, of Claysville, died Monday, November 26, 2012, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.

He was born June 4, 1920, in Buffalo Township, a son of Charles B. and Fannie Porter Jolley.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Claysville.

Mr. Jolley was a glass worker for Brockway Glass, Washington.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Windy Gap Friendship Club, and he enjoyed hunting, trapping and square dancing.

On April 19, 1950, he married Zelda H. Dillie, who died February 5, 2006.

Surviving are a sister, Louise Whitten of Boca Raton, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, Gaylord and William Jolley, and four sisters, Bertha Buckingham, Velma Sprowls, Mary Fordyce and Bettie Ruth Dillie.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Michael H. Heinrich Funeral Home, 219 Main Street, Claysville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 29, with Pastor James Sevon officiating. All services will conclude at the funeral home, with private interment to take place at Claysville Cemetery at a later time. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, Claysville, or the Claysville Volunteer Fire Department.
