Alma P. Fox, 84, of Mt. Morris, died at 1:50 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2012, in Sundale Nursing Home, Morgantown, W.Va. She was born Friday, October 7, 1927, in Greene County, a daughter of the late Edward C. and Grace Connor Patterson. Mrs. Fox was a member of Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God and was a former member of Shannon Run United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of the former Mt. Morris High School, Class of 1945. Mrs. Fox enjoyed crocheting, making quilts and doing all general sewing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters. She worked for several years for the former Greenway Manufacturing in Waynesburg as a seamstress. She later worked as a clerk in Mt. Morris Supermarket for more than 20 years. Her husband, John Franklin Fox, whom she married November 10, 1951, died October 14, 1984. Surviving are a daughter and husband, Clara Lou (Bruce) Eddy of Core, W.Va.; two granddaughters, Amy E. Eddy and Ashley L. Eddy, both of Core; and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are a son, John Edward Fox; a sister, Delores R. Eddy; and a brother, Willis C. Patterson. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 324 Mt. Morris Road, P.O. Box 478, Mt. Morris, PA 15349, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 4, with the Rev. Fred Tomlinson officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt.
