George Scott Bell

Former Pa. Department of Transportation employee George Scott Bell, 77, of Crucible, died in his home Thursday, October 11, 2012. He was born April 17, 1935, in Washington County, a son of the late George Bell and Mary Grabowski Bell Dziak. Mr. Bell was a member of Light of Life Mission. He was a former employee of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Surviving are four daughters, Ann Bell of Jacktown, Mildred Hayden of Fort Wayne, Ind., Virginia Pratt of Crucible, with whom he resided, and Sacred Angel Bell of Uniontown; two sons, Frank Bell of Fort Wayne and David Bell of Charleston, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Nash of Waynesburg and Elizabeth Pasternack of Colorado. Deceased are his wife, Mildred Martin Bell, on May 30, 1983, and a sister, Eva Zenulvic. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, and from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Tuesday, October 16, in Faith Connection Church, Poland Mines, with the Rev. Joe Eicholtz officiating. Interment follows in Garards Fort Cemetery, Greene County. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the family at 501 Morgantown Street, Point Marion, PA 15474.
