Enjoyed sewing, designing her clothing Pearl P. Zywan, 90, of Finleyville, died Friday, October 12, 2012, in Southwestern Nursing Center, West Mifflin. She was born May 15, 1922, in Arnold, a daughter of Nicola and Pearl Kaschak Papaila. Mrs. Zywan was retired as a secretary with the former RadioEar Corp. in McMurray. Previously, she was employed by General Electric Co. in New Kensington. She was a member of Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church and Ladies Guild in Monongahela and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 108 in Monongahela. Mrs. Zywan loved to cook, sew and design her own clothing and vestments for her church. Surviving are her husband, Joseph Zywan, with whom she celebrated 66 years of marriage on May 19; two sons, Daniel Zywan and wife Katherine of Baltimore, Md., and David Zywan and wife Linda of Monongahela; three grandchildren, Alexis, Nadia and Nicholas; and a great-granddaughter, Tessa. Deceased are a daughter, Mary Lou, who died at birth; a twin brother; and three sisters. Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim Kegel, supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, in Nativity Orthodox Church, High Street, Monongahela, with the Very Rev. George Yatsko as celebrant. Everyone is asked to please meet in the church Tuesday morning. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. Parastas services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
