Enjoyed living in Cross Keys Village Harold W. Swiger, 84, of New Oxford, died Friday, October 12, 2012, in Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of the late Carolyn S. Johnson Swiger, who died February 20, 1989. Mr. Swiger was born February 2, 1928, in Pease, Ohio, a son of the late Everett and Audrey G. Ashcraft Swiger. He loved living in Cross Keys Village, New Oxford, and enjoyed fishing and camping. Mr. Swiger is survived by two sons, David W. Swiger and wife Brenda of Jefferson, Md., and Daniel J. Swiger of York; a daughter, Cindy L. Sigworth and husband Kenneth of The Villages, Fla.; four grandchildren, Brian Swiger, Daniel Swiger, Raye Ann Stansbury and Russell Sigworth; and four great-grandsons. He was predeceased by two sons, Douglas and Dennis Swiger, and a grandson, Gregory J. Swiger. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
