Korean War vet worked as baker, enjoyed fishing Alfred Anthony Interval, 82, of Sebring, Fla., passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012, in Avon Park, Fla. He was born July 19, 1930, in Detroit, Mich., a son of the late James V. and Nina Bari Interval. Mr. Interval had been a resident of Sebring since 2001, coming from Orlando, Fla. He had been employed as a baker. Mr. Interval was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Interval enjoyed fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Penelope M. Prescott Interval of Sebring; daughters Laura (John) Barrington of Virginia, Robin (Sam) Barna of Pennsylvania, Michelle (Richard) Wiley of Virginia and Patricia Farless of Orlando; brothers James V. Interval Jr. of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Richard Interval of Tennessee; grandchildren Melissa, Jared, Jason and Kelly; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 26, in Stephenson-Nelson Chapel, Sebring, with Mike Adams officiating.
