Carmela S. LoNigro Innocenti, 84, who referred to herself as the “Bionic Woman,” of Whitehall, died Saturday, October 20, 2012.She was the beloved wife of the late Eramus J. Innocenti; mother of John P. (Charlene) Innocenti of South Park, Joan (Pat) Winwood of Jefferson Borough and Linda (Jackie) Innocenti of Plum; grandmother of Kristie (Jay), Matthew (Paula) and Nicholas; great-grandmother of Alexa, Bryce, Ella and Sophia; and sister of Betty (Blinky) Ross, Kay (the late Pete) Martin, Sibby (Nola) Lonigro and Ruth Lonigro.Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and special caretakers Lynda and Nick Dzubinski.Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Griffith Mortuary Inc., 5636 Brownsville Road, Broughton-Curry-South Park Township. Funeral prayer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in Nativity Church. Mrs. Innocenti was a breast cancer survivor, and, in lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions be made in her memory to UPMC Cancer Centers, 5115 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15232.
