Eileen J. Edmonds, 93, of Washington, died Monday, October 22, 2012, after a brief illness.She was born October 1, 1919, in Rices Landing, a daughter of the late William M. and Margaret Holmes Yoders.Mrs. Edmonds was a graduate of Jefferson High School and Penn Commercial.She was a very active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers.Mrs. Edmonds loved to golf and was a member of Washington Golf Club, having the honor of being past Club Champ Runner-Up. She was an avid Steelers fan, always enjoying the games with her family. Along with her husband, she formerly owned and operated the George Washington Garage for many years. She also had been previously employed at S.A. Meyer Jewelry Store. On April 10, 1941, she married Delloyd F. “Dee” Edmonds, who died November 30, 1988.Surviving are her only son, Randy Edmonds of Washington, and her only grandchild, Brenton Crostley of Bel-Air, Md.She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are a daughter, Charlene Crostley; a son-in-law, Frank Crostley; brothers Erschel H. Yoders and half brother Alvin C. Yoders; sisters, half sister Dorothy Yoders and Wilma Yoders, who died in infancy; and a nephew, William R. Murray.Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, where a prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, October 25, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
