Mildred Buskirk

Mildred “Millie” Buskirk, 70, of Carmichaels, died Wednesday, October 24, 2012, in her home. She was born October 30, 1941, a daughter of the late Milfred and Martha Rafferty Harvey. Mrs. Buskirk was a longtime teacher with the Head Start Program in Greene County. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Carmichaels and Head Start. On April 15, 1960, she married Charles “Bunny” Buskirk, who died August 28, 1998. Surviving are a daughter, Charlene Bird and husband Bryan of Carmichaels; a son, Eric Buskirk and wife Shayla of Carmichaels; a son-in-law, Matthew Duane Conard of Nemacolin; grandsons B.K. Bird and girlfriend Renee, Remington Buskirk and she was expecting a grandson in December, Ryder Michael Buskirk; four sisters, Rosetta Tanner of Richeyville, Dorothy Harvey of Little Mexico, Shirley Naylor (Bill) of Cleveland, Ohio, and Debbie Lohr (Bob) of Carmichaels; and a brother, John Harvey of Little Mexico. Deceased, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Martha Conard; three sisters, Nancy Boothe, Martha Rossell and Alberta Harvey; and two brothers, Skip Cybak and Milfred Harvey. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 27, with the Rev. Kenneth Summers officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels.
