Ethel J. Tustin Kahlbaugh
Ethel Josephine Estvan Tustin Kahlbaugh, 89, of Cherry Valley, passed away under the comforting care of the Washington Hospital Hospice, Thursday afternoon, October 25, 2012, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township, where she had been a resident for the past 5 1/2 years. She was born April 25, 1923, in Oakdale, the youngest daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Ralidak Estvan. Mrs. Kahlbaugh cleaned houses for many years, worked for Vimco Co. in Carnegie and retired on April 25, 1984, from Washington County Health Center, where she was a nurse’s aide. She was a member of Atlasburg Church of Nazarene. Mrs. Kahlbaugh enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, gardening and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Surviving are children Hugh Henry Tustin Jr. and wife Betty of Colliers, W.Va., Rita Curtis and husband Harold of Paris, Mary Tustin of Minnesota, Dale Tustin and wife Debra of Burgettstown, Donald Tustin of Burgettstown and Terri Bowers and husband John of Burgettstown; grandchildren Timothy Tustin, Susan Lamp, Kelly Rotzinger, Casey Tustin, Heather Tustin, Ashley Bowers and Danielle Tustin; and great-grandchildren Shelby Lamp and Lala Rotzinger. Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her first husband, whom she married in 1943 and who died in 1970, Hugh Henry Tustin Sr.; her second husband, whom she married in 1984 and who died in 1999, William Delmar Eli Kahlbaugh; granddaughter Melissa Tustin; five sisters, Ann Delpiere, Ella Suhaida, Mary Estvan, Rose Garrett and Pauline Orloski; and two brothers who died in infancy. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Lee and Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 29, with the Rev. Robert Hinkle officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory. If so desired, memorial donations may be made in her memory to her family.
