William R. Haney Jr., 64, died Friday, October 26, 2012, in Precious Moments Personal Care Home, Carmichaels. He was born July 1, 1948, a son of the late William Russell Sr. and Ethel Mae “Honey” Porter Haney. Mr. Haney lived in the Carmichaels area all of his life. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Haney worked as a heavy equipment operator and a drove a coal truck for many years. He enjoyed collecting music from the 1960s. Surviving are a brother, Robert D. Haney (Nancy) of Carmichaels; two sisters, Shirley A. Berry (Tom) and Lee Phillips, both of Carmichaels; and his former wife and best friend, Marie Benci of Washington. Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m., the time of service, Sunday, October 28, in Yoskovich Funeral Home, 724-966-5500, Martin J. Yoskovich, director, 300 South Vine Street, Route 88, Carmichaels, with the Rev. Charles Durso officiating. A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 29, in Masontown Cemetery.
