Lloyd E. Swiger, 82, of Washington, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township. He was born October 26, 1930, in Washington, son of Perlie and Lillian Swiger. Mr. Swiger graduated from Claysville High School in 1949 and worked for Bell of Pennsylvania for 32 years. He was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church. On November 17, 1990, he married Dolores Sasek, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Michael (Sandy) Swiger and Steven (Linda) Swiger, both of Winchester, Va.; two stepsons, David (Carol) Mogentale of New York, N.Y., and Eric (Cindy) Mogentale of Chicago, Ill.; stepdaughter Lettiann Mogentale-Betts of Kansas City, Mo.; five grandchildren, Sara Wright, Becky Rothrock, Daniel Swiger, Adam Swiger and Emily Gerenski, all of Winchester; four stepgrandchildren, Katie, Natalie and Michael Mogentale and Nicholas Betts; and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, John and Lowell Swiger, both of Greenville, S.C., and sister Joan Stevey of Dayton, Ohio. A sister, Nadine, is deceased. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 2, with Pastor George Garancosky officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
