George A. Wildman Retired pipefitter, ?Army veteran

George A. Wildman, 83, of New Martinsville, W.Va., died Saturday, September 29, 2012, in his home.

He was born July 25, 1929, in Rogersville, a son of the late George W. and Josephine Mitchell Wildman.

Mr. Wildman was a retired pipefitter.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion and United Pipefitters Local 798.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are five brothers, Joe, John, Ralph, Robert L. and Gaylord Wildman.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Jessie Mae Dailey Wildman; two sons, Ron Wildman of Shadyside, Ohio, and James M. Wildman of New Martinsville; a granddaughter, Danielle Christina; two sisters, Mary Martha Snelson of San Diego, Calif., and Martha Jean (George) Alexis of Claysville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no visitation. A small, intimate memorial service will be held in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville, at the convenience of the family.

Amedysis Hospice and personal caregivers cared for Mr. Wildman and his wife during these difficult times.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wetzel County Senior Citizens Center, 145 Paducah Drive, New Martinsville, WV 26155. Arrangements have been entrusted to Grisell Funeral Home, New Martinsville. Sympathy may be expressed at grisellfuneralhomes.com.
