Betty J. Brown
Betty J. Brown, 87, of Washington, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, unexpectedly in the Washington Hospital emergency room.
She was born November 20, 1925, in West Middletown, a daughter of the late Clarence Ray and Martha Kelley Jacobs.
Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and formerly was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church.
She volunteered with many foster children and was a foster grandparent for so many loving children. She loved the kids like she loved her very own, and they were the loves of her life.
On February 11, 1948, she married Clyde A. Brown Sr., who died February 13, 1995.
Surviving are her children, two sons, Charles N. Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Clyde A. (Kelley) Brown Jr. of Washington, and a daughter, Marva Louise (Terrell) Jenkins of Cincinnati; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several cousins; and nieces and nephews.
Deceased are four brothers, Charles Lender, Robert Jacobs, John Jacobs and Clarence (Dink) Jacobs; two sisters, Emma Treadway and Mary Olive Jacobs; and stepmother Victoria Jacobs.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, in the funeral home, with the Rev.
