Doris Mae Wier, 87, of Wayne, Mich., formally of Claysville, died Thursday, April 11, 2013.

She was born October 25, 1925, in Elm Grove, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harry Hungerman and Olive Gray Hungerman Bryant.

Mrs. Wier was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, jigsaw puzzles and reading.

She was a member of Grace Bible Church in West Middletown.

On March 2, 1945, she married Arthur Wier, who died July 26, 2008.

Surviving are a son, Richard M. (Andrea) Wier of Washington; two daughters, Linda L. (Tom) Siefert of Macomb Township, Mich., and Deborah K. (Vern) Amos of Wayne, Mich.; a brother, Donald (Carolyn) Hungerman of Canal Winchester, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Heather (Mark) Losko, Michael (Autumn) Wier, Derek, Joshua and Jordan Adams, Jody Amos-Shirlin and Chad Amos; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a brother, Harry Hungerman Jr., and two sisters, Betty Adams and Sylvia Pintola.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, with the Rev. Steven Spence officiating.
