Kirk A. Rogozinski, 65, of Marianna, died peacefully at 11:25 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2013, following a lengthy illness in Donnell House, Washington.

He was born November 9, 1947, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Lawrence and Ethel Seidel Rogozinski.

Mr. Rogozinski was a 1967 graduate of Beth-Center High School.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving time in Korea from 1967 to 1969. He was honorably discharged August 1, 1973.

Mr. Rogozinski spent his entire life in Marianna, where he worked as a mechanic for Bethlehem Mines Corp., Mine 58, until its closing in 1988. He also was self-employed as a mechanic and auto body repairman.

He was a member of United Mine Workers of America.

Surviving are a son, Kirk W. Rogozinski of Marianna; a daughter, Brenna MacFann (Donnie) of Scenery Hill; two grandchildren, Brendon and Brianna MacFann of Scenery Hill; a brother, Larry Rogozinski of Marianna; an aunt, Rose Barr (Robert) of Marianna; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He leaves behind his dog Dumkoff, who was his loyal companion.

Friends and family will be received from 3 to 7 p.m., the time of service, Wednesday, April 17, in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, with the Rev. James Markley officiating. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 744, Marianna. Interment is private.
