Irene M. Blum, 85, of Bethel Park, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Opalka; beloved wife of the late Richard Blum; loving sister of Mary Godlewski and William Opalka; and cherished mother of Mark (Kinga), Richard, Jeffrey (Karin), Gregory (Pamela) and Glenn (Lynette).

Also surviving are many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are sisters Dorothy Opalka and Anne Monnin and granddaughter Leah.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, 724-941-3211. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 20, in St. Louise de Marillac Church, Upper St. Clair. Interment will be held in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
