Arlene L. Lutes, 78, of Venetia, died Friday, April 19, 2013, in her home.

She was born April 26, 1934, in Brentwood, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Frances Fritterer Mank.

Mrs. Lutes was retired as a clerk and letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, having worked in the Venetia, Meadow Lands and Lawrence offices.

She was a member of Wrights United Methodist Church in Venetia.

Mrs. Lutes was a 1952 graduate of Peters Township High School, attended business college for accounting, and was previously employed by Penn Salt Chemicals and Life magazine.

She enjoyed gardening, flowering trees and tole painting.

Surviving are her husband, Everett Lutes; two sons, Daniel M. Lutes of Venetia and Lennard D. Lutes and wife Esther of Copley, Ohio; two grandsons, William and Westin Lutes; and two nephews and a niece.

Deceased is a sister, Marie Dosse.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 22, with the Rev. Tom Hoeke officiating. Interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery, Peters Township. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
