Marion L. Fickinger, 100, of McMurray, died peacefully Saturday, April 20, 2013.

She was born February 19, 1913, in Sewickley, a daughter of Bert and Lena Palmer Lindberg.

Mrs. Fickinger attended Carnegie Institute of Technology and was a homemaker.

She enjoyed playing bridge with her many friends in Peters Township and at Cranmoor, where she resided for several years. She also loved shopping, especially at South Hills Village, and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan.

Surviving are a son, Frank E. Fickinger III and wife Bonnie of Eighty Four; two daughters, Marilyn Brown and husband Ronald of Sellersville and Lynn Hoyle of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren, David Brown and wife Donna, Carole McCartney and husband Jack, Lori Schrock and husband William, Kelly Reasbeck, Frank T. Fickinger, John Lehner and wife Rose and Julie Telban and husband Jonathan; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are her husband, Frank E. Fickinger Jr.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director. Family and friends will meet for services at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills, with the Rev. Jennifer Dill officiating. Interment will follow.
