Patricia Antoinette Earnest, 71, of Marianna, died Friday, April 26, 2013, in Washington Hospital.

She was born June 12, 1941, in Lone Pine, a daughter of the late Charles Warren Sowers and Clara Louise Swart Sowers.

Mrs. Earnest worked as a lab technician at Washington Hospital for more than 40 years.

She enjoyed reading, lighthouses, flowers and dancing as well as collecting leaves and coins with her grandchildren. She especially loved yearly trips in the fall to Emerald Isle with her family and friends.

Mrs. Earnest was a member of North Ten Mile Baptist Church for more than 50 years.

On August 11, 1967, she married Richard Earnest, who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Kristen Earnest-Deens (Scott) of Marianna, Lynne Cecchine (Frank) of Amity and Stacey L. Coon (Jim) of Washington; Julie Earnest-Morris (John) of Marianna, who was like a daughter to her; three brothers, Gary Sowers (Geri), Rick Sowers (Wendy) and Brad Sowers (Shelley); eight grandchildren, Paige Antoinette and Joshua Deens, Gino, Dante and Angelina Cecchine, and Gracey, Louise and Tyler Coon; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Additional visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, the time of service, Tuesday, April 30, in North Ten Mile Baptist Church, Amity, with the Rev. Gary Schneider and David Earnest officiating.
